I don’t have much time to write, but just wanted to post something before I enlist tomorrow. I spent all today shopping and packing and now have a bundle of army grey wool socks and olive green T shirts. I have food, my leather man, a watch, some extra clothes, and toiletries; the rest of what I need, the army will give me tomorrow. I got a haircut and shaved and now, all I need is a uniform 🙂
I’m excited for this new adventure–I’ve waited a long time for it and it’s finally here, but I also have a fair amount of apprehension. I’ve thought about it, and almost every fear I had when I was leaving Alaska has gone, now it’s just the general change that’s scary. But I’m sure after a few days I’ll get into the rhythm of everything.
I’ll do my best to keep posting and I’ll be sure to give an update on where I am and what I’m doing in the coming weeks.
I also included a few photos of Hannukah with my host family in Ra’anana, at the beach, and me and Eldad Rubinstein.
